Making a Mark
Helping Cattle Producers
We are a forage based registered Gelbvieh farm focused on developing and maintaining superior genetics of the breed.
“Our breeding program includes extensive artificial insemination and embryo transfer which allow Locust Hill to have the highest advanced genetic cattle possible,” says owner Todd Hodges. “Our goal is to produce the highest quality seed stock for the cattle industry. This includes breeding bulls and heifers. All this to help cattle producers establish sound, productive herds with our high-quality genetics.”

Making the “Right decision”
Our focus at Locust Hill is to produce Gelbvieh and Balancer cattle with an emphasis on calving ease, fertility, growth, docility and carcass. We achieve this through an intensive Al and embryo transfer program which utilizes the best genetics that the breed has to offer. This would not be possible without the dedication, knowledge and support from Greg (Bubba) Anderson. Bubba continually makes the "right" decision with breeding which advances our genetics. There is no better evidence than to take a look at the offering in this, our second, production
Locust Hill Cattle Company is a member of both the American Gelbvieh Association as well as a lifetime member of the North Carolina Cattlemen’s Association. Locust Hill Cattle Company was featured in the WINTER Issue of Hyco Lake Magazine and we are honored to be on the cover!
